15 March 2008:
I’m really happy and nervous. Today I am attending my facilitator, Miss Melanie’s wedding. This is my first time attending a church wedding and I really hope I still have the chance to attend more church wedding. Most of the time, those wedding ceremony that I attended is very Chinese tradition way. You know, we get to see the bride and groom kneel down and serve down tea to their elderly or elder siblings. So when I heard that I am invited to attend Miss Melanie’s church wedding. I’m full of excitement.
The church wedding is held on Wesley Methodist Church. My classmates and I decided to meet up to go to the church together.Shamala, Farhana, Marly and I are really very anxious and excited about the wedding, as if is our own wedding but is still somehow related to us as the bride is our facilitator. This is because that Miss Melanie has taught my class this semester and our class really like her compare to the other facilitators that has teach us this semester.
Shamala, Farhana, Marly and I bought a gift for Miss Mel. Thanks to Shamala who spent her precious time to buy the gift for her. The gift is wonderful to her, this is what I think. This is because that Shamala has chosen to buy a bottle of wine and a couple of wine flute. I believe that this is the right gift for her and her husband.
When the church wedding ceremony, I feel that it is so memorable and touching. I really do not know why, I feel that no words can be described the feeling and emotions that was going through my heart and brain. I think is maybe the words that the bride and groom said, especially when the bride and the groom exchange the vows. The pledge they have to follow till they die is like the promise they have to keep to each other.
Vows:
(Groom) I _____, take you ______, to be my wedded wife. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part. And hereto I pledge you my faithfulness.
(Bride) I, _____, take you ______, to be my wedded husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, 'till death do us part. And hereto I pledge you my faithfulness.
Wedding rings:
I give you this ring as a symbol of my love; and with all that I am and all that I have; I honor you, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
After hearing these pledges, it touches me deep on my heart. But I think the most fascinating part is that when she and her father walk down the path holding her father’s arm. I immediately go into daze; she is beautiful in her wedding dress.
It was my first time to see a female pastor holding this wedding ceremony. This is because that most of time when I see the television program the pastor are all male but not female. Thus, is a really an eye opener for me. Beside that, I feel that female pastor really makes me feel incredible. She makes the wedding ceremony not so tense, but makes it hilarious. She makes fun of the groom to, especially when the groom is going to kiss Miss Melanie. I can’t believe that the pastor was humorous. This is because that when the groom lifts up the veil and immediately kiss the bride. And the female pastor immediately says, “I have not said you can kiss your bride!” And the pastor immediately says, “You can now kiss your bride”. So the groom kisses the bride again.
After the ceremony, Marly and Nelly and I took picture with Miss Melanie, maybe I should I called her Mrs. Melanie. She looks beautiful in her wedding dress in the photo. My other classmates took with her early on, although did not have a chance to take as a class together with her but I did not miss the chance to take with her.
I decided to take photo with Farhana while waiting for Shamala, Marly and Nelly getting their food to munch.
After that, my classmates and I went to have their lunch at Plaza Sing. The guys went to eat and the girls went shopping around the mall. But by that time, my foot is in pain, because of the blister on my left feet on my last toe. The window shopping with the Marly, Farhana, Shamala and Nelly was quite fun. Shamala bought a handbag at John Little, Marly and I bought a book for only 5 bucks. Finally got something that I wanted, but the main thing is that the book is cheap!!
During the night, I decide to take out the plaster on my left foot at my last toe. I can see the super huge blister. I decide to wait a little longer to put some medicine on it. I was so dumb at that time! I never expect this would happen to me, maybe not really, I am famous of being clumsy.
While my get off the chair, my left feet accidentally bumped onto the spoilt television that is placed under the table. Ouch!!! The super blister’s skin came off. I can see the reddish skin or maybe that is the flesh. I’m not sure. But the only thing that I know is that it hurts a lot
My mum asked me to put some lavender essential oil. The moment the oil is drip on the wound. It hurts a lot and my last toe is numb and turns even redder. Beside that, I still have to put back the blaster’s skin and put a plaster on. I use a super large plaster, bigger than the usual plaster that we used. I have nothing to say. As usual, I’m still very careless and clumsy.

Today is Fiona’s birthday. She’s turning 19. I have known Fiona for many years, since primary 4 to poly. I have known her for 10 years is super long friendship. We have been studying in the same primary school, the same secondary school and the same polytechnic. I really our friendship last forever till we died; same goes to all my friends that I know.
Before I go out of the house, I again break something. This time is the kitchen lamp, I try to fix it. But in vain, I have no choice but called my mum to fix it.
Shu Xian, Evon, Doris and me together with Fiona, decide to go to Soul Garden at Bugis.We decide to buy a small cake for Fiona, Shu Xian and Evon went to buy the cake and the rest went to the Soul Garden first. When the cake arrived, I quickly hide it behind my bag, so she will not notice it.

We sat there for quite a few hours and finally we took the cake out. We took photos, the staff at the Soul Garden even offer to take the photo for us. After all that eating, we went shopping.

Fiona likes to photos in the toilet... I have no choice to abide to it... I can only jsut said that we love the toilet so much....
On the way back home, I stop by a donut shop and bought donut home. There are two main reasons. The main reason is that to stuff food in my dad mouth, so he won’t scold me for breaking the kitchen light. The next reason is that my younger brother wanted to eat, so as me.
When my dad is home, I told him that there is some donut left, is durian donut, is his favorite and is my dislike. He eats the donut and I quickly tell him about the incident.
Since he has eaten the donut, he has no choice and gradually accepts the fact that I broke the kitchen light. My dad has fall into my trap…Yippee!!!
Luckily, my dad is smart. He manages to repair the broken kitchen lamp. I have been saved…
